Letter from the Leadership Team:Hi guys,
As a leadership team we wanted to send out a message, with the latest coronavirus guidance for Churches. Our Friends at the Baptist Church have helped us with some of the legal information in this letter. Firstly, we have really appreciated your support and understanding during this difficult and challenging last few months. Thanks for all the prayers, encouragement, and perseverance. I have personally been so encouraged by the love, support and trust in God that has been so evident amongst us!! Under the new guidance there is no longer a requirement to socially distance or wear a face mask in the school building. Also, happy days!! - congregational singing is now permitted. As Revive City Church, we have a legal responsibility to implement reasonable measures to lessen the risks of infection from covid-19. Because the Church is a family, we care for one another and feel the need to put a few things in place to protect the more vulnerable folk amongst us and those visiting us. The leadership team have put their heads together and created a plan for the next 6 weeks- starting from Sunday 1st August, and to be reviewed the 7th of September:
Thanks again for all your support and love, please continue to be patient with each other as we seek to move forwards into the mission and blessing God has got for us.
Following a fantastic course last year, we are really pleased to be running The Marriage Course again in February. Produced by HTB - the home of the Alpha Course - The Marriage Course is designed to help couples invest in their relationship and build a strong marriage. Some couples do the course to intentionally invest in their relationship, others are looking to address more specific challenges. Either way, the course offers essential tools and practical ideas to help build a relationship that lasts a lifetime.
The virtual course will start on the 16th of February and run for eight weeks (with a break on the fifth week) before finishing on the 6th of April 2021. Husband and wife, Leon and Chrysti will be hosting the evenings. They want to encourage marriages to go from 'good to even better' and to continue on good paths into the future. Feel free to get in touch with Leon or Chrysti if you have any questions or sign up below: Today we will be watching the ChristCentral Sunday video. We are part of the ChristCentral apostolic family of churches, which is part of the wider Newfrontiers family. The video includes some ChristCentral notices, an update from Ukraine, a preach from Jeremy Simpkins (who leads ChristCentral) and an opportunity to take up an offering for the work and ministry of ChristCentral around the world. You can find out more about ChristCentral on: https://www.christcentralchurches.org and more about Newfrontiers by visiting: www.newfrontierstogether.org. The rest of the recorded Sunday service is available on our Resources page.

So how will CTCC2020 work? Jubilee+ will be streaming the conference live from The Message Trust venue in the morning, with worship, prophetic contributions and keynote messages from Martin Charlesworth (Jubilee+) and Rachel Gardner (Youthscape). This time will be hosted by Martin Charlesworth and Sam Ward (Message Trust). There will be 17 pre-recorded seminars on topics as varied as 'Living prophetically after COVID-19', 'Empowering vulnerable people', 'The challenge of rising debt' and many more. And the really great news is - you don't have to choose! Those registered will be able to listen to any number of these seminars during the month of November, before they are made more widely available on our website. Who should book in? If you've read this far - you should! The event is designed to encourage and equip you if you are already working on the front line of social action and if you have a heart to see your church serving the most disadvantaged in our communities. Whether you are already making a difference and need a fresh jolt of inspiration and encouragement, or are just looking in thinking 'There is so much need, where do I start?', this conference is for you. So let's take action. Book now, to be inspired by what God is doing and empowered to play your part. Catch up with Devoted online now on our Vimeo page or on the Devoted youtube: |
